Author Guidelines

Authors are invited to make a submission to this journal. All submissions will be assessed by an editor to determine whether they meet the aims and scope of this journal. Those considered to be a good fit will be sent for peer review before determining whether they will be accepted or rejected.

Before making a submission, authors are responsible for obtaining permission to publish any material included with the submission, such as photos, documents and datasets. All authors identified on the submission must consent to be identified as an author. Where appropriate, research should be approved by an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the legal requirements of the study's country.

An editor may desk reject a submission if it does not meet minimum standards of quality. Before submitting, please ensure that the study design and research argument are structured and articulated properly. The title should be concise and the abstract should be able to stand on its own. This will increase the likelihood of reviewers agreeing to review the paper. When you're satisfied that your submission meets this standard, please follow the checklist below to prepare your submission.

The Treasury of Persian Language and Literature welcomes scholarly submissions in Persian that advance knowledge in the fields of Persian language and literature. To maintain a high standard of publication, authors are required to adhere to the following guidelines in preparing their manuscripts.

1. Language and Format

  • Full Text: Articles must be written entirely in Persian, with clear and concise language.
  • Abstracts: Each submission must include two abstracts: one in Persian and one in English. Both abstracts should succinctly summarize the main objectives, methodology, findings, and conclusions of the article.
  • Extended Abstract: Additionally, an extended abstract in English is required. This abstract should range between 800 and 1200 words, offering a comprehensive overview of the research, including its background, purpose, methodology, results, and conclusions. The extended abstract will facilitate access to non-Persian-speaking audiences and improve the article’s reach and impact.

2. Font and Formatting

  • Persian Text: The Persian text should be typed in B Lotus font, ensuring clarity and readability for Persian readers.
  • English Text: For all English sections, including the abstract and extended abstract, the Times New Roman font should be used.
  • Font Size and Margins:
    • For the main text, a font size of 12pt is recommended.
    • Headings should be in bold, and the size may be adjusted slightly for emphasis.
    • Maintain 1-inch margins on all sides of the document.
    • Use 1.5-line spacing for the main body of the text and single-line spacing for footnotes.

3. Structure of the Manuscript

Manuscripts should follow the structure below to ensure clarity and uniformity:

  • Title Page: Include the article title in Persian and English, the full names of all authors, their affiliations, and contact information for the corresponding author.
  • Persian Abstract: 150-250 words, followed by 3-5 Persian keywords.
  • English Abstract: 150-250 words, with 3-5 English keywords.
  • Extended Abstract in English: 800-1200 words.
  • Main Sections: Organize the main body into logical sections such as Introduction, Literature Review, Methodology, Results, Discussion, and Conclusion.
  • References: Include all citations in an APA format reference list at the end.

4. References and Citation Style

All citations and references must follow APA (American Psychological Association) style:

  • In-Text Citations: Use author-date format (e.g., Rahimi, 2021) for in-text citations.
  • Reference List: List all references at the end of the article in alphabetical order. Include full bibliographic details for each reference, formatted in APA style.

Sample Reference Formats

  • Books: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the book. Publisher.
  • Journal Articles: Author, A. A., & Author, B. B. (Year). Title of the article. Journal Name, Volume(Issue), pages. DOI (if available).
  • Chapters in Edited Books: Author, A. A. (Year). Title of the chapter. In B. B. Editor & C. C. Editor (Eds.), Title of the book (pp. pages). Publisher.

5. Length and Word Limit

  • Full Text: Manuscripts should generally not exceed 7000 words, including references, figures, and tables.
  • Extended Abstract: The extended abstract in English should be between 800-1200 words as specified.

6. Figures and Tables

  • Placement: All figures and tables should be integrated within the main text at appropriate points.
  • Labeling: Each figure and table should have a descriptive title and be numbered consecutively (e.g., Table 1, Figure 1).
  • Captioning: Provide captions in both Persian and English below each figure and table.

7. Submission Requirements

All submissions must be made through the journal’s online submission system. Files should be in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) format. Upon submission, authors will receive an acknowledgment and further updates as the article progresses through the review process.

8. Review Process and Revisions

The Treasury of Persian Language and Literature follows a double-blind peer-review process, meaning the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review. Authors may be required to revise their manuscripts based on reviewers' feedback. Revisions must be submitted within the specified timeframe.

9. Ethics and Plagiarism

The journal upholds strict ethical standards and does not tolerate plagiarism or duplicate submissions. Authors are required to ensure their work is original, appropriately referenced, and free of plagiarism. All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection software.

10. Conflicts of Interest

Authors must disclose any financial or personal interests that could be viewed as a conflict of interest regarding the research.
